GP-LED WELLBEING

Time To Talk
And Be Heard

Your consultation is designed to give you time to talk through your symptoms properly, ask questions and understand the options available to you.

The aim is to help you feel listened to, supported and confident as you navigate menopause — with care tailored to your individual needs.

YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT

A 45-minute consultation,
designed around you

A detailed review of your symptoms, history and concerns — with time to explore treatment options including HRT where suitable.

HRT AND TREATMENT OPTIONS

Helping You Make
Informed Decisions

Treatment options may include lifestyle advice, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), non-hormonal treatments or alternative approaches — depending on your symptoms, preferences and medical history.

For patients considering HRT, your GP will discuss the potential benefits, risks, suitability and monitoring requirements — including different types of HRT, how treatment is taken, expected benefits, possible side effects and follow-up.

Your GP may also recommend relevant health checks or blood tests where appropriate, including assessment of risk factors linked with menopause — such as bone health, cardiovascular health and osteoporosis.

FOLLOW-UP CARE

Ongoing Review
And Support

Follow-up consultations are available to review your symptoms, treatment response, side effects, prescriptions and any further questions.

Our aim is to support your health, wellbeing and quality of life through menopause and beyond.

Your treatment plan can be adjusted over time

As your symptoms, preferences, risk factors or overall health change — so can your plan. Follow-ups give us a chance to:

  • Review how your treatment is working
  • Manage any side effects
  • Update prescriptions where needed
  • Answer any further questions

Menopause can cause hot flushes, night sweats, poor sleep, mood changes, anxiety, brain fog, fatigue, vaginal dryness, discomfort during sex, reduced libido, joint aches and changes in periods. Symptoms vary from person to person.

Yes. Where suitable, our GPs can prescribe HRT following a review of your symptoms, medical history, preferences and risk factors.

Not always. Menopause and perimenopause are often diagnosed based on symptoms, age and menstrual history.

Blood tests may be recommended in some cases, particularly if symptoms occur at a younger age or if there is diagnostic uncertainty.

Your GP will discuss your symptoms, menstrual history, medical history, medications, lifestyle, previous treatments and any concerns you may have.

You will then discuss treatment options and agree a plan that suits your needs.

Yes. Depending on your symptoms and medical history, your GP can discuss lifestyle measures, non-hormonal treatments and other approaches alongside or instead of HRT.

Follow-up is recommended to review your symptoms, treatment response, side effects and any changes needed to your plan.

The timing of follow-up will depend on your individual circumstances.
